Spooks, gouls and the usual locals
On Sunday, 30th October we hosted our annual hallowe’en party. A great time was had by all and thanks to everyone who made an effort to dress up – check out the photos! The annual competitions were brilliantly supported and we raised £317.00 for the Royal National Lifeboat Insitute by selling pumpkin seedlings back in the spring plus donations on the day. You lovely people took the plants home: tended, nutured and grew them on and brought them back for the great weigh in. And the winners were:
…Biggest pumpkin – 33lb 13oz, won by Steve ‘Spider’ Herring
…How many daffs in the sack? (Thanks Terry for the generous donation!) The answer was: a correct guess of 316 bulbs won by Steve Watkins
…Guess the weight of the heaviest pumpkin – won by Richard Palmer who guessed 33lb 9oz
