As our regulars know we care about our draught real ales, lagers and ciders. With regular stalwarts of Tring Brewery’s Side Pocket for a Toad, Youngs Special and St Austell Tribute always available; we also have an ever-changing array of new tipples from around the country. If you want a brief encounter with Betty Stogs or a Shropshire Lad – there’s a good chance you’ll find it at the White Lion!
We are proud of our reputation with the Campaign for Real Ale enthusiasts and are currently 3rd overall winner in the South Herts CAMRA region. Not too bad at all when you consider there are over 350 pubs in this area.
Cask ales are carefully sourced (and tasted!) to make sure they meet the discerning palates of our clientelle. From light, summery ales of 3.2 to serious stout at 5.1 – there’s an ABV to suit everyone. Beer Festivals
The White Lion 2012 August Beer Festival kicks off on Friday 24th at 6pm! As usual, we have a wide range of real ales and ciders for sale in the marquee and at the bar, whet your appetite and by checking out the full beer list and details of live music and hog roast.
