Luverly beer
As our regulars know we care about our draught real ales, lagers and ciders. With regular stalwarts of Tring Brewery’s Side Pocket for a Toad, Youngs Special and St Austell Tribute always available; we also have an ever-changing array of new tipples from around the country. If you want a brief encounter with Betty Stogs or a Shropshire Lad – there’s a good chance you’ll find it at the White Lion!
We are proud of our reputation with the Campaign for Real Ale enthusiasts and are currently 3rd overall winner in the South Herts CAMRA region. Not too bad at all when you consider there are over 350 pubs in this area.
Cask ales are carefully sourced (and tasted!) to make sure they meet the discerning palates of our clientelle. From light, summery ales of 3.2 to serious stout at 5.1 – there’s an ABV to suit everyone. Beer Festivals
The 2011 White Lion August Beer Festival over the bank holiday weekend was a roaring success! Many thanks to everyone – guests, musicians, staff and friends who made it such a blast. Check out the pics to see what went on.
With the advent of winter, festivals are on hold til next year. We’ll be back in late spring with the next round of fabulous real ale events! Check back in 2012 to see what we’ll be up to.
